VMSI Continues to Support “Cops and Kids” Program

RJ-Heather

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and VMSI (Veterans Management Services, Inc.) is pleased to have played a role in making it a little brighter for some of Loudoun’s children and families in need, by donating to the Loudoun-Dulles Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 69 Cops and Kids Program.

Each year, the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office along with other local area law enforcement agencies, partner with the FOP to fund this annual event. The children and families are selected by the Loudoun County Public Schools based on their needs, and treated to a day of food, fun, and festivities. This annual event is near and dear to VMSI Program Manager Heather Earley and her Husband Captain RJ Earley, who has been with the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office since 2004.

This year’s event brightened the holidays for over 100 kids and their families in our community. The children and their families were treated to a bountiful breakfast with Santa at Wegmans, and then paired with volunteers from local law enforcement agencies and the FOP to shop at Target for gifts for themselves and loved ones.

The Cops and Kids program is one of many important missions that the FOP branches throughout the country sponsor to foster positive interactions between law enforcement and the youth in their community. For more information on the Fraternal Order of Police or their Cops and Kids program, please visit Cops & Kids – Fraternal Order of Police (fop.net)
