VMSI CEO, Shane Moore, was recently invited to present at the inaugural Vet 2 Vet Coaches event hosted by GSA OSBU, Customer Care and Outreach Veterans Liaison Team.
This open format event is designed to provide guidance to Veterans of all walks of life who have started or would like to start a Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) or a Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB).
The planning committee for Vets 2 Vets Coaches strives to provide support to the many Veterans who find themselves with the ability and desire to form a federal contracting company, but who may need direction or starting point from which to grow.
During the seminar, presenters were asked to share their personal experiences and guidance on obstacles they have faced and overcome, and how they’ve achieved success in the world of government contracting.
Well known for his advocacy and mentorship to Veterans and Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, VMSI CEO Shane Moore was honored to share his account of the challenges he has faced, goals achieved and visions for the future while building his current Veteran owned small business, Veterans Management Services, Inc.
Shane’s first-hand knowledge of founding and building a small business in the world of government contracting, provided a unique opportunity to share a wealth of practical information on a variety of topics including GSA schedules as well as the complexities of doing business with the federal government.
The open forum at the conclusion of the event brought forward a large number of enthusiastic questions from those in attendance and has inspired the organizers to brainstorm ways to host regular Vet 2 Vet Coaching seminars to continue educating small business owners in the DC Metropolitan area.

Due to the success of the inaugural Vet 2 Vet Coaching event, Shane hopes to continue collaborating with National Director of the Office of Customer Care and Outreach, Christy Jackiewicz, Procurement Analyst, Bianca Henderson, and Associate Administrator for Small Business Utilization for GSA, Jerome Fletcher on future endeavors!
