This year, VMSI asked our corporate employees what they are thankful for. Please enjoy their answers below.
Ken: I am thankful for the Fall weather that brings us the vibrant colors of the leaves, reminding me that life is perpetually changing, and another great year has passed. I am thankful for my family, friends, and my VMSI Team who bring so much joy into my life and make it exciting to wake up each and every day. I am thankful for our military veterans and those service members still serving who provide us the freedoms and liberties that we have in our great country.
Jackie: I am thankful for my friends and family and the love, support, kindness and fun that they offer. I am thankful for the outpouring of support from my colleagues during this busy time of the year. I am thankful for the health of my family and I’m also thankful for my health and well-being.
Tony: I am very thankful for a healthy, happy family! For our new home and all of the projects needed to help make it our own. I am thankful for VMSI, my colleagues, and teaming partners and never feeling like, “Ugghhh, I gotta go into the office today!” I’m also very thankful for IPAs, double IPAs, and the breweries (especially Solace Brewing) that create these wonderful beverages, which assist in me being able to be thankful for the above! 😊
Maey: I am thankful for my family, my friends, Don Julio, Jose Cuervo, Patron, 1800 and all my tequila BFFs and world peace. Wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!
Kylene: I’m thankful for health, faith, family, friendships, joy, life experiences, kindness of others, the chance to serve the community, to live in a free country and the men and women of the armed forces who serve(d) our country. I’m thankful to support an SDVOSB and the opportunity and blessings I’ve been given to be able work hard each day!
Laura: I am thankful for my son, who gives my life a greater purpose. I’m thankful for my family, who stand behind me through everything life throws my way. I’m thankful for VMSI and the endless support and laughs from my coworkers. I am thankful for my friends who have become like family. And I am especially thankful for coffee and how productive it makes me.
Maria: I am thankful for health, family, my good friends and the VMSI Team. Also, very thankful to the military who are serving our country and for my son who is now a Marine Veteran and home for the holidays. I am also thankful for my new furry family of five kitties who have kept me very busy and entertained since they were born in August. Finally, I am grateful for the beautiful weather and family get togethers we are having during this Thanksgiving week. Wishing all of you a Happy Thanksgiving!
Heather: This year I’m particularly thankful for my amazing cast of family and friends who have been my behind the scenes crew, doing the real work of keeping the most important acts of life moving along while I was able to focus on the professional growth opportunities that were extended to me in this exceptional organization. It is humbling to have as much love and support as I’ve been blessed with! To my team of client facing employees and corporate office family, simply put, YOU ROCK!! Lauren: I am thankful for this wonderful opportunity to join the ranks of VMSI. I am extremely thankful to be able to work with such wonderful co-workers and supporting our veterans. I am thankful for this country and those who serve(d) and our First Responders on the home front. I am incredibly thankful for my loving partner Patrick, my family and friends.
Mandy: I am thankful for my friends and family and for their good health, and for my obnoxiously funny co-workers.
Kirsten: This year I am thankful for a new job here at VMSI and meeting all the wonderful people that work here. I am thankful for CFA sweet tea that keeps me going during the day, and that I finally learned how to make my great grandma’s famous pecan pie, just in time for the holidays. Most of all, I am thankful for my loving family and friends.
