The Hardest Working Among Us: Administrative Professionals!

This Administrative Professionals Day, VMSI would like to personally show our appreciation for our corporate staff members who keep us in line. VMSI’s CEO, Ken Konkol, stated, “The VMSI corporate team wouldn’t be as efficient without our stellar administrative professionals.  Their hard work and dedication does not go unnoticed and we are extremely thankful for all that they do each and every day in supporting our employees and clients!”

Kirsten Fleming is the newest member of the VMSI family but already a major asset to our team. Kirsten supports the Program Management Office (PMO) as our Project Support Specialist. Among her many duties, Kirsten assists our program managers with compiling extensive monthly activity reports, tracking and reconciling financials, completing projections, and developing project documentation. “Kirsten is an absolute lifesaver,” stated VMSI Program Manager, Heather Earley.  “She is resourceful, efficient, perceptive, and has the patience of a saint (which is necessary when working with Ken and me).  She is relentless in her mission to support both the PMO Office and VMSI as a whole, in any way needed.”

Lauren Weinberg is VMSI’s Operations Specialist and provides overall administrative support to all departments at corporate HQ. Lauren facilitates the security onboarding process for new hires and ensures that our new employees are poised for success. Among her responsibilities is managing the lengthy security processes for multiple agencies, including sending out the proper security documents, organizing fingerprint appointments and notifying new employees where to pick up ID badges. VMSI VP, Jackie Perley, commented, “Lauren quickly became the primary point of contact to resolve challenges within the office.”

Mandelynn Vickers is VMSI’s Business Manager and assists with a wide range of financial and administrative duties. Mandy reviews and processes all incoming invoices and expense reports, prepares monthly outgoing invoices, and maintains the general ledger accounts. Mandy improves our financial status by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending actions to management. In addition to assisting with financial matters, Mandy also supports the PMO with administrative functions, such as booking travel, tracking expenses, and compiling monthly reports. “I am always impressed with Mandy’s willingness to help me and tackle new responsibilities,” stated Perley.

From your VMSI Family, THANKS FOR ALL YOU DO!
