In recognition of Administrative Professionals Day, VMSI would like to personally show our appreciation for a few of our Corporate Staff who truly go the extra mile to keep us running smoothly!

VMSI’s Human Resources Generalist, Maria Morales-Hankins, has been a member of the VMSI family for over three years and currently supports our Human Resources Department with a plethora of highly visible and significant tasks. Maria conducts New Hire Orientations with each of our new employees – addressing questions regarding benefits, policies, and all things VMSI. Maria is also the driving force for all payroll and timesheet activities; she is instrumental in prompt, error-free payroll processing for the entire company. Most importantly, Maria is the first of two VMSI points of contact for all employee relation issues, ensuring our employees receive the dedicated attention they deserve.   In addition to these major responsibilities, Maria provides exceptional guidance and expertise in maintaining and continuously improving, our employee support initiatives. Our Director of HR, Maey Salazar, states “I couldn’t have asked for a better partner in crime! With Maria’s institutional knowledge and focus on achieving excellence, VMSI is in good hands!”

Heather Earley joined VMSI over three years ago and currently supports the Program Management Office  (PMO) as our Senior Project Analyst. Among her many responsibilities, Heather expertly manages the onsite employee travel process for all staff members, beginning with gaining client approval through finalizing expense reports — often handling 10-15 travel requests per month! Heather’s energetic and approachable nature has set her apart from the rest with her interactions with VMSI employees and clients. Heather shows exemplary organization skills and follow through when assisting the VMSI program managers with compiling extensive monthly activity reports, tracking financials and completing projections, creating job requisitions, and managing competing priorities. VMSI COO, Ken Konkol, stated “Heather is a pleasure to be around and always meets challenges head on. She’s determined to help everyone in the office and we appreciate all she does for VMSI, especially for me!”

Francesca Thompson became VMSI’s Operations Specialist a year and a half ago and has assisted with a wide-range of operational duties supporting all departments within VMSI Headquarters. Francesca facilitates the security onboarding process for each new hire and completes a variety of operational and logistical functions to ensure our new staff members are set up for success onsite. Among these duties is managing the lengthy security processes for multiple agencies, from sending out the proper security documents based on the contract through notifying new employees to pick up their identification badges. Francesca keeps us on schedule and we couldn’t do it without her assistance! Francesca is always eager to learn new tasks and has expanded her role to include planning and coordinating office functions, tracking financial and employee data, updating contacts, and processing incoming invoices. VMSI VP, Jackie Perley, stated, “Francesca is accommodating, communicative and versatile in her support. She’s exactly what I need, when I need it, and I appreciate all Francesca’s efforts to lighten my workload.”

From all of us at VMSI, THANK YOU!!!
