VMSI Supports Wreaths Across America In Honoring Our Fallen Heroes This Holiday Season

VMSI is pleased to announce that we are continuing our tradition of supporting our Veterans during the holiday season and are once again participating in Wreaths Across America (WAA) – the charitable organization that is responsible for placing wreaths on the graves of our national cemeteries around the United States including Arlington National Cemetery.

Though they are a small token of our appreciation, these wreaths symbolize more than a desire to spread holiday joy. This small act of kindness speaks volumes to the loved ones of those laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery and it serves as one more way we are able to honor our nations heroes.

It takes 245,000 wreaths to cover all the sites at Arlington National Cemetery and as of today, they are still in need of roughly 50,000.  A $15.00 tax-deductible donation will cover the costs for placing one wreath. If you are interested in helping WAA and their initiative to raise funds for the remaining 50,000 wreaths, you can do so by visiting: http://www.wreathsacrossamerica.org.

VMSI will match donations made by our employees, for up to two wreaths!!  Last year we were able to contribute 75 wreaths thanks to the overwhelming support and charitable spirit of our employees.  We are confident that we can exceed last year’s goal, and are committed to helping ensure all our fallen heroes are honored this holiday season.

In addition to sponsoring wreaths, VMSI will also be volunteering on December 17th to help lay the wreaths on the graves at Arlington National Cemetery.  Whether it’s sponsoring a wreath, donating your time on December 17th, or BOTH, we hope you will join us in supporting Wreaths Across America and help place a wreath on EVERY grave at Arlington National Cemetery.
